About The Connected Ideas Project

From Titus

Welcome to The Connected Ideas Project — or TCIP, for short.

This isn’t just a newsletter. It’s a living framework for making sense of the world we’re building — and the people becoming something new inside it.

TCIP is where science, technology, policy, and story all meet at a human scale. It’s a space for thinking in public, reflecting in motion, and mapping the invisible shifts that are reshaping how we live, work, and imagine.

If you’ve ever felt like the pace of change has outstripped the pace of understanding — this is for you.

If you’ve ever stepped outside the traditional path and wondered what comes next — this is for you.

If you’re trying to build something that doesn’t fit in a category yet — this is for you.

The World Is Changing. So Are We.

Technology is evolving faster than institutions can absorb.

Policy is reacting to futures it hasn’t yet imagined.

And our careers — our identities — are stretching in ways that don’t map neatly onto résumés or org charts.

I created TCIP to hold space for that evolution.

Not with hype. Not with cynicism. But with curiosity, conviction, and a bias toward momentum.

This is where I write what I wish existed when I was first learning how to think like a strategist, operate like a builder, lead like a human, and build a life that doesn’t just follow the rules — but reshapes them for myself.

What You’ll Find Here

TCIP runs on a rhythm. Each day has a purpose. Together, they tell a story.

→ Mondays: Connected Ideas

Guest essays, conversations, and profiles of bold thinkers shaping the future of tech, policy, science, and society.

It’s who’s building what — and why it matters.

→ Tuesdays: Tech + Policy

My flagship long-form essays on the co-evolution of emerging technology and public systems.

It’s the architecture of the world ahead — and the decisions that shape it.

→ Wednesdays: Field Notes

Personal reflections, behind-the-scenes stories, and raw learnings from the work, the road, and the unknown.

It’s what it feels like to build and think and move — before it all makes sense.

→ Thursdays: Evolutions

Narrative essays on the inner shifts defining modern work, identity, and the portfolio career.

It’s how we’re changing — and how to stay intentional while we do.

→ Fridays: Science Fiction

Original speculative fiction, serialized novels, and “real science behind the fiction” deep dives.

It’s where imagination meets architecture — and stories build futures.

You won’t get all five every week. I believe in rhythm, not overwhelm.

But every edition is written by me, drawn from lived experience, and shaped by the belief that ideas only matter if they connect.

What I Believe

Technology without humanity is just bits and bytes.

Humanity without stories is just echoes.

And stories without purpose are just noise.

I believe in purposeful signal.

In showing your work. In pausing to reflect. In going fast — responsibly.

I believe the future isn’t just happening to us.

We’re building it. Every decision, every design, every story we choose to tell.

I believe we need new mental models, new language, and new muscles.

TCIP exists to build those.

Who I Am

I’m Titus. I’ve built biotech strategy at the Pentagon, launched programs for national technology priorities, worked inside startups and billion-dollar tech companies, and spent months biking the western coast of North America to remember what it means to think clearly.

I write science fiction. I write policy. I write so people feel less alone in the mess and momentum of trying to do something that matters.

TCIP is the throughline of it all.

What Comes Next

If you’re looking for hype cycles or hot takes, this isn’t your spot.

But if you want to think more clearly.

If you want to navigate your own evolution.

If you want to build a life and career that feels more designed than default —

Then welcome.

There’s room for you here.

Start with a Tuesday edition.

Stay for a Friday story.

And if you see something in the mirror of these words, you’re not alone.

Exploring how tech, policy, people, and ideas are connected. A special love for AI and biotechnology, but a lot of thinking about how emerging technologies like fusion, AI, quantum, and more are impacting our lives. With some sci-fi thrown in.

People

I write about the co-evolution of technology and public policy and how that is shaping society and humanity. Big fan of biotech + AI. Sci-fi nerd.
